Reflection on ICT as a co-constructive tool

 ICT as a co-constructive tool

Co-constructive tools are tool that support the construction of knowledge through shared understanding. In other word it is tool use to work cooperatively and construct a shared understanding of new knowledge. Examples of co-constructive tool are Google docs, electronic whiteboards, blogs and wikis.

Constructing something with the use of ICT gives many new knowledge, ideas and skills. I think that it is very important to use co-constructive tools in teaching and learning environment necessarily. For example; till now I never know about the Google docs and blogs. But after I came across the constructive tools I came go know such new knowledge and skills. Through such new experiences I learned very productive things in my life for the first time.

Working with co-constructive tools makes our work easier and gain many ideas. For example, while using the Google doc we can discuss together, share ideas, and edit each other and able produce tasks very productively. While doing such thing we have to communicate and cooperates each other which also help in building social relationship. It also helps in finding problems and solves problems. Since co-construction is a cooperative work there happens to have some loop holes and members together can solves that problem easily. Therefore it also provides very effective and active learning.

It is very important for teachers to integrate this tool in teaching and learning environment. As I mentioned above it gives many new knowledge, ideas and skills. When many people come together to work as a one group on one particular task where individual intelligent, knowledge, ideas, capabilities and ways are all different. In order to compete equally with them one must have explore more concept on the task before really as a team. When the task starts we also have to do comments and discuss each and every point to bring a better one. So, its promotes cooperates learning.
